Though there are few traces of a past left now, this oppulance hotel on a Caribbean seashore of Mexico was once a palace owned by Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar. 

Casa Malca, a overwhelming Mexican hotel near Tulum, was bought by eminent New York art gourmet and gallery owner Lio Malca in 2012.

Malca renovated a building and combined a new boutique hotel that he filled with profitable pieces from his art collection, including works from Keith Haring, KAWS, and Marion Peck.
